HOUSER FAMILY POOL

The pool closes 30 mins prior to the facility closing.

Class/Program Descriptions:

Lap Swim – Aimed at swimmer who swim lengths of the pool. Individual water exercises are welcome, but need to be able to share a lane with a lap swimmer. Two swimmers per lane suggested.

Family Swim – This area is for families to swim on the shallow side of the pool.  Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult/guardian in the water.  No inflatables are allowed. Lifejackets and puddle jumpers are allowed.

Swim Lessons – These lanes are reserved for our program participants. These classes move around the pool area, so at times lanes may appear empty. Please keep the reserved amount of lanes open for our young swimmers.

Swim Team – When a swim team is using the pool, for either practice or a meet, they will use all six lanes.

Slide – The slide is intended for swimmers to ride down on a tube.  Swimmers must meet a height requirement of 48 inches to ride the slide or if the swimmer is between 44 and 48 inches they must pass a swim test given by a lifeguard.  After a swim test is taken the information is stored in our database system so the swimmer can stop at the desk to ask for their passed swim test color wristband the next time they come swimming.

Adult Individual Exercise – Jump into the pool for your own, self-paced Water Exercise workout! There will be lanes open for you to do your own exercises (no instructor) in the shallow or deep end of the pool. You are welcome to use the water dumbbells, noodles, etc.

Open Swim – This area is for swimmers to utilize the shallow and deep ends of the pool to swim.  Swimmers under 18 years of age must pass a swim test to swim in the deep end of the pool.  Swimmers under 18 years of age must pass a yellow swim test to swim to the middle of the pool.  After a swim test is taken the information is stored in our database system so the swimmer can stop at the desk to ask for their passed swim test color wristband the next time they come swimming. No inflatables are allowed.

Water Exercise – Jump into Water Exercise! This is a low-impact, instructor-led class that incorporates cardiovascular and muscle conditioning exercises using the water as resistance. This class will use four lanes of the lap pool.
