Key Qualifications

  • Good social and communication skills working with youth and adults
  • YMCA Swim Instructor or American Red Cross W.S.I (preferred, not required)

Join the Y’s Child Care Center Team as a part-time closing Child Care Assistant Teacher.  We are looking for several qualified candidates to work Monday-Friday 3:00-6:00 pm 3:30-6:00 pm or 4:00-6:00 pm.

Do you have a passion to help feed the youth in our community?

The La Crosse Area Family YMCA is looking for an individual who can work both independently and with a team to ensure quality food service for hundreds of youth in our community.
This position assists the Community Nutrition Director in providing over 200,000 healthy meals annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering, organizing, and inventory management of the Food Program.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of food and food supplies to 18 program locations.
  • Key Qualifications:
    A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Previous food service experience and/or Serv Safe certification are preferred.
  •  Must be able to lift 40lbs several times
  • per shift.

These programs are held at the Houser Y in Onalaska. Inclusion coaches are expected to plan and implement practice plans for Miracle League Baseball, and Flag Football for All. The inclusion coach works under the direction and supervision of the Inclusion Specialist. These are part-time positions working evenings 6-8 hours per week. Free adult membership.

  • Assisting players in learning the fundamentals of baseball, flag football, and assistance in the Wellness Center

This is a part-time position available at our La Crosse Dahl YMCA.

Personal trainers are responsible for the development and incorporation of training programs for members of the Y. The trainer provides accurate fitness information, plans effective programs, and addresses participant’s questions. Personal trainers’ possess the ability to motivate participants at all skill and fitness levels, along with the ability to identify incorrect lifting techniques and how to correct the individual. The trainer is also responsible for all scheduling of clients and tracking accurate records of client’s attendance and payment history.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) nationally recognized Personal Training Certification such as NSCA, ACSM, NASM or ACE
  • Adult and child CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
  • YMCA Fitness Assessment Certification or experience in this area is a plus

Preschool instructors help instruct physical and non-physical classes including arts & crafts, gym, music, and activity programs for preschool children. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, preparing craft projects, provide structured, safe, and welcoming environment for children and families.

This a part-time position Mon. – Fri. working at before and after school programming at schools held in La Crosse area school districts.
