YOUTHSTRONG

Youth Cancer Survivor Program

YOUTHSTRONG is designed to help youth and young adult cancer survivors regain their health and well-being before, during and after cancer treatments. This FREE year-long physical activity program will help transition cancer survivors into the next chapter of their health and wellness journey.

Cancer is a life-changing disease that takes a tremendous physical and emotional toll on those affected. The Y offers YOUTHSTRONG, a research-based physical activity and well-being program designed to help youth and young adult survivors reclaim their total health.

Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem.

By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, YOUTHSTRONG is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.

YOUTHSTRONG is free to all participants thanks to the Y’s Annual Campaign. Help support more cancer survivors by making a gift to the Y.

Criteria for Participation
Any youth or young adult from birth to 18 years of age who is currently going through cancer treatment or has gone through some form of cancer treatment (i.e. surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, etc.) in the past that wants to regain their health and well-being.
